By default Island eTickets has an uneditable ticket named 'Comps' that has a $0 value. You can use this ticket as your Complimentary ticket or you can create a new ticket type that has a $0 value if you want your complimentary to have a different name. To manage your tickets you can go to Dashboard > Tickets > Manage.
When creating $0 tickets be sure to keep the visibility as private so it's not visible by users on your event page. Hidden tickets have a grey background so you can identify them easier.
To send complementaries you must have then assigned to you and to do that you must put yourself on the Committee for the event then assign tickets to yourself.
Adding to Committee
Go to Dashboard > Committee > Manage. From there you can add committee members by email.
Go to Dashboard > Committee > Manage. From there you can assign tickets to anyone who is listed on the committee. Click the settings button next to the name of the committee member or click the checkbox next to multiple committee members to edit in bulk.
You can send complementaries in two ways. The first is by using the committee push tool as described in this article. The second option is to go to Dashboard > Box Office > Cash Sales. Select the number of tickets you need to send then click Add.
After you click Add you will see some options about sending the ticket.
All that's left to do is to change the Ticket Delivery to Email if you want to send it to the user's Island eTickets account or you can choose print to name the tickets then print them to paper.
